Pasture Raised Lamb

When you buy pasture raised lamb from GNH Farm, you can guarantee that the animal lived a happy and stress free life. Our lambs are rotationally grazed around our farm, moving every 5-7 days to fresh pasture. Our lamb receive no antibiotics, wormer, or grain during their lives. They’re strictly pasture fed, with some hay/alfalfa supplement during the winter. Our Katahdin breed lambs are hair sheep - purpose-built for tender, lean meat without the ‘gamey’ taste you may have had when you’ve tried lamb in the past; wool sheep contain a chemical that protects the wool called lanolin. Our sheep do not carry this trait and even older sheep or rams do not have a gamey taste. We believe that happy, healthy animals leads to higher quality lamb for your table.
